This week sees some more upgrades to EG PropertyLink...

To enhance the appearance of the properties on the search results page,
we have added a thumbnail photo of the property to each listing:

Search Results

We have also added a 'Show agent contact details' button which allows our advertisers to track how many people are clicking to access their details, making it much easier to assess the effectiveness of their EG PropertyLink listing.

These changes are going live today.

Let me know what you think...

As you can see we have added some great enhancements/upgrades to the EGi site this week, and we have many more to come over the next few months.  With your help we can make sure that the site fully meets your needs, so we would like you to be involved in its development.  One way to do this is by joining our group of users in the Customer Partner Programme.

As part of the programme, we would occasionally ask you to take part in our research - this could be anything from a phone call to ask for your thoughts/ideas, to asking you to join us in one of our offices to help us review the website.  Be assured that would will only ever contact you about an area of development that is relevant to you.  So, if you would like to be part of this group, sign-up here.

Being the  new girl on the block I have been spending some time having a close look at the wealth of data we have within EGi.  As I mentioned before, I want to help you get the most out of your EGi subscription, so my focus this week is on our planning data.  What strikes me about this section is the enormous wealth of information you can access - it has planning applications and decisions from every single local authority in Great Britain.  This amounts to about 1,400 applications and 1,000 decisions every month.

You can search by a number of criteria including the type of development and proposed use, so it is easy for you to find exactly what you are looking for.  You can even set up alerts so you can be the first to know when an application goes through that meets your needs.  This data is unrivalled in the market so if it's planning information you need, here's where to find it.  If you need any help or would like to contact me to give feedback or suggestions, please email me.

Welcome to 'Behind the screen', the very first EGi Blog. We wanted to create an area of the site where we could let you know what's new and what's coming up on the sites, and, most importantly, to hear your views on what you like and what you don't, so that we can develop the sites with your feedback in mind.

Over the past few weeks members of the team have volunteered to represent various areas of the business to keep you up-to-date on what they are doing within their departments. But, our core objective of the blog is to enable you to get the most from EGi, so, your contributions, questions and comments will be at the top of our bloggers' agendas.

Firstly, let me introduce myself... My name is Jennifer Fox and this is my first week as marketing manager for Estates Gazette, so it is both and exciting and busy time for me. I have worked across a number of sister titles within our publishing group and I now look forward to learning all about the commercial property market. In my blog I will be letting you know about all of the exciting new developments at EGi , and I will be advising you on how to get the most out of the sites.
