Take a look at the new building wikis on esatesgazette.com. The first thirty or so entries are now live. We've got a whole host of information on these landmark London buildings including history of the site, development, architects and links to relevant articles published in the Estates Gazette.

You can comment on, correct, or add new entries simply by registering your details on the EG community - or simply share the links with friends or colleagues.

We regularly include new buildings, and the scope isn't limited to London - so if you've a suggestion for a building you'd like to see included, please let us know at info@estatesgazette.com or, if you like, create your own building wiki.

We're testing auto-complete on the town name field in EGi deals search. After typing 2 or more characters you will notice a list of corresponding towns or counties will appear in an auto-complete list. From here you can select the correct town and perform a search.

Try a deals search by town using auto-complete

Please let me know what you think - If you like it, we'll roll it out across other fields and across all of the EGi search forms.

The 2010 Draft Rating List with summary valuations is now available on EGi for England and Wales.

The VOA carries out a revaluation of all rateable values in England and Wales every five years. The next official list comes into force on 1 April 2010. In advance of this, a draft list of rateable values for all commercial properties in England and Wales, provided by the VOA, is now available on EGi. This draft list has been published in advance to allow 6 months for valuations to be checked by the occupiers before it comes into effect.

You can use the EGi ratings tool to:

·      Search for rateable values by location, property use type, range of values and effective dates.

·      Compare the changes to a property's rateable value between 1990 and 2010.

·      View valuation office details, property description and a breakdown summary in one report.

·      Download reports to Excel for easy comparison of assessments.

Testing a new look for EGi

| No Comments | No TrackBacks

We've developed this new look EGi homepage in response to a number of comments from our customers. Several of you told us it was difficult to find information such as town reports within EGi, and many customers said it was time to update the look and feel.

This new homepage beta.egi.co.uk which is running alongside the regular homepage allows you direct access to many of the core EGi databases from the homepage screen. It also incorporates the familar EGi section navigation in the tabs across the top.

I'd really like to hear yfrom you about both this new approach to navigationand the revised design so that we can incorporate your views into our forthcoming developments.
