A slightly larger group at Regent's Park this morning - partly due to the much more pleasant weather (although still pretty cold) and perhaps because of the ever-closer set off date for the Aedas Cycle to Cannes?!!?
Average moving speed seemed to be reasonable. Regular looks down at my Garmin had us hovering at about 28kph.
A speedy lap finished the ride at RP, but was a bit too much for this cyclist's legs after teaching three 45 min spin classes the day before. And there's the dilemma. Is it good practice to ride on tired legs so as just to get used to the aches and pains of the 1,500km ride to Cannes, or should I be giving the legs a little rest before a Wednesday morning ride?
The sensible answer, of course, is give your muscles time to repair. But those that know me will know when it comes to exercise, I'm anything but sensible!
Anyway back to training. Sunday's ride at Richmond Park is on. I'll be there - bright and early at 8am - with my camera again, which this time I'll hopefully remember to pull out of my back pocket and use to film some of you looking splendiferous in Lycra. I was distracted by coffee and a Boost last time. Sorry.
Keep riding.
Sam
