Jackie Sadek started her career in urban regeneration at the London Docklands Development Corporation before joining Stanhope plc, where she worked on Broadgate, Stockley Park, Chiswick Park and Kings Cross.
In the 1990s she joined the site acquisition team at Tesco plc, pioneering the “homes above shops” format, before forming the Paddington Regeneration Partnership in 1988 on behalf of all the Paddington developers and creating a fully integrated mixed use development at a national transport hub. She went on to lead a number of large scale projects in the public sector, notably Kent Thameside and Park Royal, before serving as Head of Regeneration for CB Richard Ellis from 2007 to 2010.
Jackie has more than 20 years’ experience in property development, managing large-scale urban regeneration projects and public-private sector partnerships. She is expert in stakeholder engagement and in the development of complex land ownership partnerships to bring forward difficult sites, including securing funding for local economic benefits arising from the development process. As a national spokesperson on regeneration matters and a speaker and broadcaster on regeneration issues, she is chief executive of UK Regeneration.
Jackie Sadek is currently on a one-year contract as policy adviser to Greg Clark MP, the Minister for Cities, ending March 2015. In her absence, the management team of, UK Regeneration, continues to work hard to build a private sector regeneration company that puts people and community at the heart of the model. UKR has pilot mixed-use development projects in Nottingham and Derby, and an aspiration to deliver regeneration support to the whole of the UK within a localist context.
