Land Securities' "Bottom Up" demolition

| No Comments | No TrackBacks

Evidence of another "bottom up" demolition has been seen recently at Land Securities' 20 Fenchurch Street EC3 the site of the proposed 'Walkie Talkie' tower.

The increasing desire for flexible work space, in terms of services, length of contract, and budgeting, has been bolstered this year following the uncertainty created by the credit crunch.

Reluctance to commit on a long term basis and the lack of communication between landlords and tenants has seen increasing interest in serviced office space with the view that it provides more flexible, lower risk contracts.

Could this approach, along with future developments in the communication services industry, inevitably result in the death of the conventional office space as we know it?
