This is a CGI of what Battersea Power Station could look like if architect Rafael Vinoly's latest designs get the thumbs up. The 250m high "eco-chimney" does not feature in the new plans.

I started my life in Battersea and i live here now. I am very fond of Battersea power station, it is very close to my heart as well as being one of the most famous landmarks in the world.
I sincerely hope that greed does not produce a design that will obscure the view of the main building of the powerstation.
This is an iconic building and i believe that any proposed buildings that are to be built around it should not prevent people being able to see the main building with it's chimleys.
I think that the powerstation should not be added to so that it's basic shape is mired by modern steel and glass structures which disturb the outline of this, what i believe to be, a beautiful building.
I feel that this building should be preserved in as close to it's original state as is possible. Not cluttered up with modern structures which obscure the view of the outline of my beloved Battersea power station, so that the developers can make alot of money from it.
I also feel that a small part of it should be dedicated to it's history, in the form of some sort of memorial or museum so that this strong and beautiful old building can be remembered as an important part of London's history as well as for what it once was, a power station.
I know that there are alot of people who feel very strongly about this and don't want their dear old power station ruined by some hideous modern developement.
Please, please don't spoil the view of my dear old friend, Battersea Power Station.

I've lived in Battersea myself and ever since I was a kid I've loved staring at the beauty of the power station. It's one of London most famous landmarks and one of the largest brick buildings and I really hope they leave it that way, not change it to fit into the modem world.
