Plans for the transformation of the South Plaza of the Olympic Park were unveiled today by the London Legacy Development Cooperation. The 28 acre public space, designed by James Corner Field Operations, will feature a series of 'outdoor rooms'. These will house activities that allow visitors to interact with the park, including a carousel, 'labyrinth' fountain,  performance place and play area with a climbing wall descending down to the canal side. The space is due to be open to the public in spring 2014.
