ODA's latest pictorial update on Village progress

| 2 Comments | No TrackBacks

olympicjuly.jpgThe ODA has just published one of its regular updates on progress on the Olympic Village with some useful pics here of the site as it is just now and some webcams too.

These updates are of course comforting, particularly as so much is happening. Rest assured we wouldn't be getting them if progress was slow.

Click here here for latest photos of construction work and here for design images.

And for the webcam experience click here.

Well it all looks rather nice. Let's hope the budget doesn't increase any more.

Hi Tim,
I think the government has effectively drawn a line under the "can they afford it?" element of the story by saying it is paying for everything and setting aside a massive contingency to cover itself. It's for this reason that the media has generally lost interest in this side of the tale. The story really now is going to be "legacy" and whether in the rush to pay for the venues and get them built the regenerative side of the developments becomes sidelined.
