Goya Developments has won planning permission for a speculative 115,000 sq ft industrial, warehouse and trade centre one mile from the Olympic Stadium.

The £20m shed includes 12 units and is opposite the new Star Lane DLR station.

The site is currently let short term to LOCOG until after the Olympics.

Work will commence on the new shed in November 2012 once LOCOG vacate the premises, with a targeted completion of summer 2013.

Goya director Jim Bryan said: "We are delighted to be building out this scheme in such an exciting environment where demand has always been very strong, but has only been enhanced by the Olympic activity."

DE & J Levy and Colliers have been appointed as the agents on the scheme.

Goya is already working on several other speculative developments. In June 2011, SWIP acquired the 6.5 acre Central Park site in Park Royal in conjunction with Goya.

A planning application for a new speculative 160,000 sq ft shed has been submitted, with an end value of circa £30m.

In July 2011, Goya exchanged contracts on a 1.5 acre site in High Wycombe, for a nine unit speculative industrial scheme with an end value of £5m.
