Just a brief note to say that Tim Kevan who has been writing a blog on The Times called BabyBarista, a fictional diary of a young barrister making his way at the junior Bar, has now resigned for the Times after its decision to go behind a subscription-based paywall.
He has therefore moved the blog to a new website at www.babybarista.com.
The site has been completely re-vamped and now includes numerous cartoons of the blog's characters drawn by cartoonist Alex Williams who also draws the Queen's Counsel cartoons for The Times.
If you enjoy the blog he has also had a book published by Bloomsbury which is based upon BabyBarista's pupillage year. It is called BabyBarista and the Art of War and was described by broadcaster Jeremy Vine as "a wonderful, racing read - well-drawn, smartly plotted and laugh out loud" and by The Times as "a cross between The Talented Mr Ripley, Rumpole and Bridget Jones's Diary".
The second book in the series will also be published by Bloomsbury some time in 2011.
I was very kindly sent a copy of the first book to review which I have yet to do ... yes I feel guilty but I do intend to do it.
