People

Property consultant Ryden has promoted Susan Wharton to associate in the property management team in Leeds.  She joined the firm in 2007 from Northern Trust (0113 243 6777).

Connells subsidiary Sequence has made Bryan O’Mahoney land manager in its land division.  He will cover Northamptonshire as well as some of Buckinghamshire, Bedfordshire and Cambridgeshire (01604 632322).

APS Chartered Surveyor has appointed Tom Yoxall associate director on the project management team.  He joins from Buro 4 (020 7614 3200).

Commercial property consultant FG Burnett has appointed Stuart Orr a director.  He was previously head of direct investment for DTZ in Scotland and was behind a number of multi-million-pound acquisitions and sales (0141 285 7983).

Quintain Estates & Development has new fund managers in Scott Wilson, who will focus on new business, and Michael Donnelly, who will concentrate on the Quantum science park fund shared with Aviva Investors (020 7495 8968).

Cheltenham-based Britannia Construction has brought in Carol Heneghan to the new post of business communications manager. She has more than 20 years’ experience in construction and property, most recently with Forward Swindon (01452 859880).

Mike Sudlow has joined Drivers Jonas Deloitte as a director in the local government development team.  He has more than 25 years’ experience in the public sector and joins from Cushman and Wakefield (020 7007 9000).

Chartered surveyor Barnsdales has made Jonathan Burr head of commercial agency and Ryan Stevens a surveyor, both based at the new Doncaster office (01302 323453).

Resolute Asset Management has appointed Lothar Weber an independent member of its risk committee.  He has held senior roles with Credit Suisse and Deutsche Bank (020 7529 2700).

Hotel chain Premier Inn has added Jonathan Langdon to its London acquisitions team.  He will be responsible for securing new sites across north London.  He joins from Allsop (01582 844813).

Tim Suffield has joined Savills’ industrial team at the Birmingham office.  He has more than 25 years’ experience in the industry, and previously worked for Fuller Peiser (0121 634 8416).

Law firm Berwin Leighton Paisner has appointed real estate disputes expert Michael Metliss a partner in its London team.  This follows the hire of real estate lawyer James Knox, who joined BLP from Linklaters (020 3400 1000).

Property and construction development consultancy DBK has promoted Harpal Singh Virdi to regional director and Stuart Clark to director of property services (0121 622 8520).

William Foster has joined KA Property to specialise in investment and syndication. He was previously with Millar Kitching and David Baroukh Associates (020 7467 5557).
 
Jonathan Stone has taken up the post of senior project manager at Castle Oak.  He will manage development and funding contracts in the design and build stage.  He joins from Davis Langdon (029 2054 8816).

Business rates specialist CVS has added Rupert Boheimer, Richard Wadsworth and Adam Francis to its team of rating surveyors (0161 291 0330).

Student accommodation specialist UNITE Group has named Richard Smith deputy chief financial officer and Paul Harris group communications director. Both will be based in Bristol (0117 302 7000).

GBR Phoenix Beard’s Birmingham office has recruited David Dyas as a surveyor in the asset management team, while Helen Gregg and Charles Devoy have joined the property accounting department (0121 200 4500).

King Sturge has appointed Tony Bostock to head the new building consultancy department in Liverpool. He was formerly a director of CB Richard Ellis in Liverpool (0151 242 6602). In London, Ben O’Connor joins the firm as an associate in the business rates team (020 7087 5158).

Indigo Planning has made David Smith a senior planner and Rebecca Dewey an assistant planner in Wimbledon (020 8605 9400), while in Leeds Yvonne Doyle also becomes an assistant planner (01133 800270).
