It doesn’t happen very often, but just once in a while, in the world of property research, something comes along which is truly unexpected. The rate of office to residential PD Right starts is one such thing. By the end of 2015 we expect PD Right conversions from offices to account for as much as 25% of the overall number of residential starts in the capital. What many thought of initially as a niche section of the market may well turn out to be one of the primary forces driving it.
But the backlash has already started, exclusion zones are being increased and the extension of the legislation hangs in the balance. Is this genie going to go back in the bottle?
