Student housing was one of the saviours of the London market immediately post-Lehman. However, as the economic situation has worsened abroad the crisis has sent money flooding into London and into high end residential.
The report looks at the effect this is having on student housing in the capital. In the inner boroughs supply is being exhausted but not replaced due to the shift in focus by developers to super-prime. In the outer boroughs we are seeing the emergence of a 3 tier level of provision which will cater for an increasingly diverse group of students both international and domestic.
