London Offices market analysis Q1 2012

Letting activity in the City was subdued during the first three months of 2012, according to EG's London Offices Market Analysis.
Just 520,000 sq ft was let in the City core during Q1, the annual equivalent of just over 2m sq ft. This compares with an average annual take-up of 3.8m sq ft.
Availability in the Square Mile was also high during the first quarter at 12.5%, and this excludes the 3.7m sq ft of space under construction.
