As the world's tallest building is unveiled in Dubai today, many people may be wondering "Whatever next?". Should London and other cities compete with such dizzying heights? Should London's strict planning regulations be relaxed in the wake of new architectural developments? We'd love to hear your views.

Personally, I feel that with the addition of the shards (Bishopsgate and London Bridge), they are more than sufficient. I don't believe having the tallest building in the world or one of, would do much for London as we are very much a city of historic buildings as opposed to the likes of Dubai where is all about the new spectacular buildings.
In certain towns in Europe restrictions are set on building heights in order to preserve the skyline and the traditional look and feel of the town
It's definitely a good idea to restrict building heights, not only to protect the skyline but also for safety reasons. The Burj can move by around 6ft and is also situated on a major faultline. It's already been struck by lightning twice and experienced an earthquake!!
